Phyllis Parr

Phyllis is a Clinical Psychologist and has been working in the area of Psychology for over 20 years. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and has general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology. Her initial training and experience was within the Women’s Health and Disability fields. Phyllis has also worked within the University, TAFE and Private Education systems as both a Psychologist and Lecturer, and has been invited to serve on Academic Boards.

Establishing her Private Practice in 1995 presented an excellent opportunity to combine her extensive skills as a Psychologist with her wide-ranging counselling, lecturing, supervision and group therapy experience. Within the Practice Phyllis sees individuals for counselling and therapy, as well as provides professional supervision to Psychologists, Psychologists-in-training, Counsellors and a range of Community Organisations. She has also designed and facilitated a number of group programs including Living with Depression, Reducing Public Speaking Anxiety and Assertiveness Training.

Phyllis finds her work to be highly rewarding, particularly as it involves assisting people to change and to discover new ways of living a full and meaningful life.

Kym Clyant

Kym is a Psychologist with over 30 years experience working with individuals and couples with personal or work related issues.

Working in a diverse cross section of industries in both private and public sectors, middle and senior management positions and as a consultant, has provided Kym with the experience and understanding of issues that impact on people in the workplace. Her particular areas of expertise and interest are occupational stress and establishing work life balance; workplace bullying and harassment; mentoring and career advice; self-confidence, goal setting and achievement; vocational rehabilitation and the role of emotional intelligence in workplace functioning.

Kym values the therapeutic relationship in her work with individuals and couples experiencing personal difficulties and works with her clients to better understand their psychological and emotional world in order to facilitate change.

Kym uses an emotionally focused and strength based positive approach in her work with her clients and has skills and experience in the treatment of depression; anxiety; stress, including Post Traumatic Stress; loss and grief; and adjustment to other life changes, such as disability and chronic illness.

Over the years, Kym has designed and facilitated numerous training and development programmes for organisations and community agencies. She also provides professional supervision to Psychologists and Psychologists in training and mentoring for women. 

Kym is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Belinda Balaam

Belinda is a Clinical Psychologist and she has been working in the field of Psychology since 1997.  She is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Psychologists.  She holds general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology.  She initially worked in clinical treatment outcome research and then in the disability sector providing vocational rehabilitation.  Belinda also has extensive experience working as a Counsellor in a University setting.

Belinda brings a broad range of skills to her clinical practice.  She has significant experience providing individual counselling.   She also has experience conducting group programs in areas such as assertiveness and communication training, anxiety management, improving self-esteem and relaxation training.

Belinda values her work, and she enjoys accompanying clients as they experience a growing sense of self-awareness, make relevant changes in their lives, and develop an appreciation of their own resilience.

Ed Lukaszewski

Edward Lukaszewski is a Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. Ed is a member of the College of Counselling Psychologists, within the Australian Psychological Society.

Ed has a varied professional background. Beginning in 1974, he has worked as a School Teacher, a District Officer (child protection and foster care), a Senior Staff Development Officer, and as a part-time University Lecturer. Ed has lectured in several postgraduate training programs for Counselling and Clinical Psychologists.

From 1987–2011, Ed was a full-time Counsellor, in a large metropolitan University. He has extensive experience in providing individual and relationship counselling, brief and longer-term psychotherapy, and group therapy. Ed has also provided professional supervision for many Counsellors, Psychologists and other health professionals, for over 25 years.

When working with clients, Ed considers their individual experiences and emotional difficulties, their relationships, and the broader context of their family and cultural histories. He tailors therapy to address the unique concerns and goals of each client. Ed enjoys the process of working collaboratively with people in finding solutions to their problems, aiming to empower them as they change and grow.
